About the project

Gensaic is an AI-driven protein design company advancing precision drug delivery for metabolic health. Spun out of MIT and based at LabCentral in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the company's proprietary FORGE platform combines billion-scale protein evolution with generative AI to discover novel mechanisms for delivering therapeutics to specific tissues, cells, and subcellular compartments.

A clear voice for a new methodology

Gensaic's science is genuinely novel. The company is building an entirely new class of multi-functional delivery proteins, using a platform that sits at the intersection of computational biology, protein engineering, and AI-guided design. But scientific depth alone doesn't build credibility with the range of stakeholders a company like them needs to reach

The company needed a new brand and digital platform that could translate deep, complex science into clear value for each of these audiences without oversimplifying the work or defaulting to the generic visual language that saturates the biotech space.

Making complex science accessible

Gensaic's technology operates across multiple dimensions. Communicating that layered capability required more than a tagline. We developed a visual identity framework that articulated the platform's value at different levels, giving them clear visual hierarchy language for different contexts

We led with a dark theme, creating the technical edge the company was known for. This combined with striking visuals of key molecular focus areas and simplified graphics to indicate the platform, helps convey complexity without over simplifying.

We focused on creating a visual language that reflected the precision and sophistication of the underlying science while remaining approachable to non-technical stakeholders.

Building partnership platform

With a few key industry collaborations already in place and more on the horizon, the website needed to function as more than a brochure. It had to serve as a credible first touchpoint for pharmaceutical partners and investors doing due diligence. It needed to be a clear, structured presentation of the platform, the team, and the company's trajectory, while encouraging connection and follow-on conversations.

The site was designed for clarity and ease of management. The information architecture guides users through the FORGE platform's capabilities, the leadership and scientific advisory teams, and key milestones, all without overwhelming visitors with technical detail upfront.

Gensaic represents a fundamentally new approach to drug discovery and needed a digital platform to help tell their story. Their technology is complex, so translating a high level of information into a brand and digital experience that resonated with pharmaceutical partners, investors, and prospective team members required the same kind of precision as they apply to their platform.. Every design decision, from information architecture to visual language, was made in service of one goal: giving Gensaic the credibility and clarity to show up as what it is, a company doing category-defining work at the frontier of targeted therapeutics.
