iBio
iBio is a clinical-stage antibody company developing precision medicines for obesity and cardiometabolic disease. Based in San Diego, the company's proprietary AI-integrated platform, which combines epitope-steering technology, mammalian display, and human-developable libraries, targets receptors that most drug discovery approaches can't reach. Their pipeline includes antibody programs delivering a next-generation obesity approach that aims to preserve muscle, reduce dosing frequency, and deliver sustained fat loss rather than the broad metabolic suppression of existing GLP-1 therapies.
When iBio came to Wunderdogs, they had a WordPress site that reflected a different chapter of the company. But the science had moved considerably further than the brand.
A WordPress site for a company that no longer existed
The old site carried the weight of everything iBio had ever wanted to explain. Pages ran long. The pipeline and platform sections required real fluency to navigate. Imagery was generic. And the information architecture, built for a different stage, didn't guide the two audiences iBio needed most - investors scanning for pipeline credibility and scientific partners evaluating platform differentiation. Both groups were arriving at the site and finding a company that looked less advanced than it actually was.
One site, two very different readers
Wunderdogs’ work with iBio covered web strategy, copy, design, and a full Webflow build. Getting the copy right required Wunderdogs to work directly with iBio's science team, including platform scientists with strong views on scientific accuracy and meaningful disagreements about what level of detail belonged on a public-facing site. Reaching consensus on how much to say, and how to say it without overclaiming, was the central creative challenge.
The platform page is a good example. iBio's three core technologies, Epitope-steering, Mammalian Display, and StableHu™, needed to be read with enough specificity to earn credibility with researchers, but stay intelligible to biotech investors who care about differentiation but don't live in the lab. The solution was a layered information architecture with clean top-line framing for scan readers, scientific substance available for those who kept going, and a concrete platform-in-action section using real data. The same logic applied across the pipeline, therapeutic areas, and partnering pages. The site was built to answer the specific questions each audience brings to it, not just broadly impress them.
On the design side, the visual system balanced the precision the science required with the warmth a patient-facing company needs. Custom scientific illustrations replaced generic stock imagery. The pipeline visualization replaced the static table that had been there before. A CMS built in Webflow gave iBio's small team the autonomy to update events, posters, presentations, and team bios without developer dependency, Wunderdogs also coordinated the IR site integration with Equisolve, ensuring the investor relations experience matched the new brand system at launch.
Delivered on deadline
Since launch, iBio has been actively presenting at major conferences including ADA, PEGS Boston, Drug Discovery Chemistry, and BIO International, with the site serving as the primary digital touchpoint for all of those engagements.
