About the project

EcoCart enables e-commerce businesses to offer carbon-neutral shopping experiences—calculating and offsetting the carbon footprint of online orders in real time. As demand for sustainable solutions grew, the EcoCart team needed a digital platform that could scale with its partnerships and communicate both technical credibility and climate impact.

Serving both sides of the marketplace

We repositioned the EcoCart site around the dual goals of simplicity and credibility. The visual system was designed to flex across B2B and B2C contexts, building trust with enterprise partners while remaining familiar to shoppers.

Evolving the site to match the mission

Our first step was reorganizing the site’s foundation and structure. By mapping a clear hierarchy, we created a strong platform for growth; one that allowed EcoCart to expand on its strengths and provide users with a more comprehensive, accessible understanding of its offering.

We minimized white space and introduced rich color blocks, animation, and real project photography to create a more visually impactful experience. The updated visual language balances boldness with approachability, highlighting EcoCart’s technical credibility while appealing to climate-conscious consumers.

Building from the ground up

Performance was a key consideration throughout. We introduced dynamic design features without sacrificing speed or usability, ensuring the site would not only look sharp but scale seamlessly as EcoCart’s product and team evolved.

Clear calls to action, modular content blocks, and custom illustrations help communicate the offsetting process and value proposition without overwhelming visitors. Behind the scenes, the site is supported by Webflow, Cloudflare CDN, GA4 analytics, and frontend animation libraries like GSAP to ensure fast, smooth, and scalable performance.

Our Impact

The new site was launched in summer 2022 and in October EcoCart announced a $14.5M Series A fundraise. It now works with over 2000 brands including Walmart, Zegna and SkullCandy. The EcoCart team will continue building climate tools to enable ecommerce brands to operate more sustainably with a mission to make an impact with every online transaction.
