Palm NFT Studio was created by ConsenSys founder and Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin; film producer and owner of Heyday Films, David Heyman and founder of world class art house HENI Group, Joe Hage. The team was looking for a partner to build their new platform’s website and launch it in collaboration with an NFT drop by the legendary British artist Damien Hirst.
The Palm network is a new token-powered ecosystem for NFTs founded in partnership with ConsenSys. Based on Ethereum, it features low gas costs, fast transaction finality, and 99.9% more energy efficiency than proof of work systems such as Bitcoin.
The Palm network is designed from the ground up to be as flexible as artists are creative. Our main challenge was making sure the team’s authenticity and flexibility was reflected in the design and build of their key communication channel.
We partnered with our sister agency Quality Produce on our goal to put the Palm NFT Studio on the global NFT map creating a strong platform for growth that would support the hosting of NFT launches. We created the website to reflect a natural ecosystem; a living and breathing organism. In support, the Palm design team created a series of AI-generated visualizations of palm leaves that were animated to evoke the feeling of breathing and movement.
We followed Palm NFT Studio’s visual identity basics while designing the web experience to ensure that the platform followed the highest UI quality standards. We aimed to balance Palm NFT Studio’s existing branding features of strong colors with white space to maximize impact when displayed on the page at a bigger size.
In order to make sure the user was supported throughout the website, a chatbot was used to offer support. This ensured that any frustrations or questions the user had were potentially resolved by remaining within the site. Micro interactions and parallax scrolling was used throughout alongside subtle animations to help create a more dynamic look and feel and to aid user navigation.
Despite being a relative newcomer to the market, we gave Palm NFT Studio a site that helped them quickly make a name for themselves by launching their partnerships with Warner Bros. (DC Comics, Space Jam 2, The Matrix), and the legendary British artist Damien Hirst’s launch of “The Currency” – a run of 10,000 NFTs that can be redeemed for physical paintings.
